(Tenor) Bob has been singing pretty much his whole life. He was born and raised on a farm just a few miles north of Detroit. He attended a Lutheran elementary school and high school, and was involved in various choirs throughout. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1984 with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. While working for Goodyear Aerospace in Akron, Ohio, he joined the Goodyear Singers, and got a taste of performing in front of larger audiences. He joined the Detroit Concert Choir in January of 1988, and never looked back. He had been searching for a group to get involved with - it had been several years since returning to Michigan. With this group, he gained a great deal that he is very grateful for: a director that is constantly challenging, a large circle of friends - some of whom he has known since he joined, and the satisfaction of knowing that his abilities are helping to bring a little joy to others. Bob is also one of those unsung heros of the choir as he functions as stage manager for the organization.
